Welcoming Te Atamira to Queenstown

It is with great pride that we welcome Te Atamira to our community!

It has been a wonderful weekend celebrating the dedication and effort of all those involved as Queenstown’s new multi-purpose, community arts and cultural space, Te Atamira was opened.

As written by the Otago Daily Times, “An astounding public effort, to deliver ongoing benefits for the Queenstown Lakes arts and cultural community, was officially celebrated yesterday.”

Te Atamira was the direct result of the need identified in the district-wide arts and cultural masterplan commissioned by the Three Lakes Cultural Trust. Our team then advocated on behalf of our creative community to the Queenstown Lakes District Council in order to ensure the project’s success.

Head out to Remarkables Park and visit Whakatipu’s newest arts and cultural space. Enjoy the exhibitions and find out more about the programmes that you can take part in!
