Mat Tyrrell / Outside Sounds
Project Title: Outside Sounds
Practice: Improvised electronic music & sound in a forest
The Experience: Outside Sounds is a small, low-key afternoon of live electronic music, played among the trees. There's no stage, no schedule and no pressure. It's just sound drifting through the forest, and a space to slow down, relax and switch off.
Everything is improvised, made live and in the moment - think part concert, part chill-out, part excuse to lie on the ground and watch the canopy move.
Venue: Kelvin Heights Peninsula
Address: Secret location - register for event via link below to receive address.
Performance Date: Sunday, 22 November - 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Tickets: This is a free event but koha (donation) is available if you can support.

About the Artist:
Mat Tyrrell is a musical artist recording under the name Winterkeep here in Queenstown for many years, and has only in the past 12 months taken the project out into the community. He creates visceral, cinematic soundscapes by processing real-world instruments (mostly guitar and piano) and blending them with spoken word, field recordings, samples, drum machines and synths, building a hypnotic story in sound.
