Project Title: Make a House for the Village
Practice: Participatory Collage
The Experience: Join Hannah from House of Small Things for a relaxed collage workshop, transforming an envelope into a small house using found images, words and paper fragments.
Village of Small Things is a participatory collage installation by House of Small Things, led by Wānaka artist Hannah Paterson.
Using found images, words and paper fragments, participants would create a house that could be playful, personal or entirely imagined, responding to the envelope’s existing shape as a starting point.
Each house would then be added to a growing collective village, bringing many distinct inner worlds together within one shared artwork.
This project is supported by the Creative Communities Scheme.
