The Business of Creativity - Wānaka

  • 89 Ardmore Street Wānaka, Otago Region, 9305 New Zealand (map)

How to connect with the visitor economy

If you’re making work that people experience, you’re already part of the visitor economy.

This Wānaka workshop looks at how artists, creative practitioners and organisations can connect into that system  from working with Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) to forming partnerships and getting work into the places people actually research and book.

Led by tourism and destination strategist Brad Rowe, the session draws on years of experience working across tourism, experience development and destination marketing, helping creative projects connect more effectively with audiences and the wider visitor economy.

Returning after last year’s session, Brad brings an updated and practical perspective shaped by what’s changing across tourism, digital platforms and visitor behaviour.

What the session covers:

  • what’s shifted in the visitor economy over the past year

  • the platforms and pathways people are using to find and book

  • real examples from creative projects

  • how tools and platforms are being used in practice

Plus time for questions.

Suitable for anyone who attended last year or joining for the first time.

FREE to attend

This event is supported by Central Lakes Trust, Queenstown Lakes District Council and Te Atamira.
