Thinking about a creative career?
At a time when technology is reshaping how we work, the value of creativity has never been more critical. This session cuts through the noise and shows what creative work actually looks like.
It starts with a short film featuring local creatives and the different ways people are building careers across the district.
Then hear directly from people working across film, design, games, photography, digital, sound and more sharing how they got started, what they’re doing now and what’s possible.
These are real stories. The unexpected routes, side projects, collaborations and turning points that shape creative careers.
For students: A chance to see what’s possible and where creativity can take you.
For parents: A clearer understanding of how creative skills connect to industries that value imagination, storytelling, problem-solving and human insight.
This event is supported by Wakatipu High School, Three Lakes Cultural Trust, Queenstown Lakes District Economic Futures, and - with thanks to our facilitators and speakers.
