SBZ Productions is a performing arts company based in Queenstown dedicated to bringing live theatre to local communities and involves 3 generations of Barhams. SBZ debuted with a tour of ‘Dear Lupin’ in 2019 starring Blaise and his father John. This year Sarah & Blaise will be touring TWO by Jim Cartwright around Otago from 13-29 November.
This performance Re(new)al – The New Real? is a Verbatim play formed from interviews carried out this September with members of the local community about how Covid has changed their lives and how they have coped. It poses the question of what is the ‘New Real?’
It is an original theatre piece created by Blaise Barham & Emma Deakin and also includes actors Nathan Cook, Zelia Horrell, and Shannon Pennefather.
