Robyn Bardas
Artist
In 2017-18 I implemented and curated a contemporary Art Space at The Rippon Hall, showing emerging and MFA artists.
I have recently completed an exhibition tour of the Public Galleries of the South Island in a show: “New Perspectives in Landscape” at Ashburton Public Art Gallery, Blenheim Millenium Public Gallery, Forrester Gallery Oamaru and Eastern Southland Gallery in Gore.
In “Red Tussock. Line.1” I investigate the use of horizontal lines in painting. Made in response to a residency at the Pukerau Red Tussock reserve on a roadside section of farmland near Gore, the tussock regenerates amid other native species.
Work Title: Red. Tussock. Line. 1
Medium: Gouache and digital print on Epson 300gm 100% cotton paper, 2600mm x 476mm Framed
